On Indigenous Veterans Day, November 8, we honor First Nations, Inuit, and Métis veterans whose bravery and sacrifice have supported Canada through conflict, peacekeeping missions, and disaster response, sometimes while confronting discrimination and prejudice.

Lest we forget.

The total loss of NOAA’s office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research —a nerve center of global climate science, data collection and modeling — represents a setback for climate preparedness that experts warn the nation may never recover from.

White House Proposal Could Gut Climate Modeling the World Depends On
Potential funding cuts for NOAA and its research partners threaten irreparable harm not only to climate research but to American safety, competitiveness, and national security.

Republican Speaker of the Michigan House says he would have had a budget done in time if there was a provision saying he had to. But there’s not, so he didn’t. Tell Matt Hall to get to work — he shouldn’t need a law to force him to do what he was elected to do.

Even my House Republican colleagues believe they shouldn’t be paid for not presenting and passing a budget. 2 weeks ago they canceled session for the week. House Republicans would rather be on vacation than work this summer. Hold Republicans accountable — tell Republicans to get to work!

You know that scene in an action movie when the bad guy runs through the kitchen of a restaurant and pulls down all the pots and pans behind him to slow down his pursuers? We're in that part of the Trump presidency.

What he says ⬇️
No, there is no “crisis” on our Northern border. These people want you to think the “crisis” is just around the corner—as they manufacture actual crises across our country by ripping moms from their babies, arresting public officials, and tearing up our constitutional protection.
