Remember when Amazon held a sale during Independent Bookstore Day in an effort to undercut indie bookstores?

We didn’t forget. Support local bookstores during Small Business Saturday and beyond.

Donald Trump is a murderer. And he is proud of it. He is killing people openly. And getting his mouthpieces to de-sensitize people to it.

Good evening to everyone except for people who respond to someone else’s valid point by saying “Well, just to play devil’s advocate…”

White House Criming Cheat Sheet

Committing crimes (if by White House or GOP): Turns out, NOT a crime, also pardonable for a price

Telling people not to commit crimes (if by Dems): Surprisingly, an unforgivable crime

I just got my dad some books for his birthday, instead of getting them on Amazon I picked them out at our local brick and mortar bookstore. Remember to shop local this holiday season.

No bailouts. The US should extort these companies when the crash happens so they get minimal compensation in return for nationalizing the entire panopticon industry and then destroying it once harvested for socially useful parts. It won’t happen but it should
when its definitely not a hostage situation

It is mind boggling to me that Riley Gaines and her ilk can say with their full chest that men are intrinsically better than women at any and all competitive activities, and somehow think that’s a feminist take.

The cognitive dissonance would divide a planet in half.

Why would anyone take health advice from someone who sounds like he’s going to die before he finishes the sentence he’s currently speaking?

Yes, I do think that every human being deserves to be fed, warm, and housed just because they’re alive. That’s a core part of my belief system actually.

I can't stress enough that Black people in the US are less likely to believe untrue conspiracy theories than white people, not because Black people have more inherent discernment. That's not a real thing. There is no discernment gene.

It's because Black people are inoculated against US media lies.
Again, most of the "conspiracy theories" believed by Black folk that authors and researchers that say "Black and white US people are just as likely to believe in conspiracy theories!"🤡 cite... Have been proven to be true.

Believing that Tuskegee experiments happened, is not the same as medbeds.

Most of the major "conspiracies" believed by Black folk, turn out to be proven as fact decades later: * The CIA is bringing drugs into the US * The FBI is targeting civil rights leaders for harassmen...

Strangely unpopular opinion: having a spouse and children doesn’t preclude you from being a bad person.

Crappy people get married all the time and if you can reproduce the “conventional” way, it’s not like they put you through the Asshole Detector Test before they let you have a kid.

Let me just be clear, Charlie Kirk could not have possibly had less in common with Jesus Christ.

He rejected empathy, compassion, peace, and practical community outright and advocated for death, destruction, violence, division, poverty and inhospitality at every turn.

There is no world in which it is normal for the president to publicly call upon his attorney general to hurry up and prosecute his political foes. It’s like the Watergate tapes but posted on social media. Let’s get a grip on what’s happening here.

To kill democracy, you attack the free speech.
To kill democracy, you silence dissent.
To kill democracy, you take control of the media, and manipulate it.

Please recognize:
We are at war now, and we must fight with everything we have to save our democracy.
If we do not fight back, we cannot win.

This is the playbook, folks.

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

Charlie Kirk was a cruel, racist, xenophobic, morally bankrupt asshole. He was a horrible person.

But the thing about civil rights is that horrible people get them too. And I don’t want to live in a country where we don’t have the civil right to not be gunned down in the street for what we believe.

i have said this before but when “getting rid of race in admissions” for the administration means “you can’t even try to reach out to underrepresented communities and encourage them to apply and if you do it is illegal discrimination against white people” then the actual goal here is segregation
Harvard Ends Undergraduate Minority Recruitment Program as Trump Targets Race in Admissions | News | The Harvard Crimson
By ending the minority recruitment program in May, Harvard shuttered a more than 50-year-old initiative to encourage minority high school students to apply.
