Which one should I munch on, the blue or red snack? 😋

A Southern Right Whale, estimated to be around 18 meters long and weighing 80 tons, caught on camera. Stunning.

These whales are relatively harmless and they are known to interact with humans.

Amazing creatures.

While I was researching men's fashion in the 1970s for the Gunnawah sequel I'm currently writing, I came across this atrocity

The polyster shirt-suit

I've seen it, so you all have to as well now

Don't know how popular this look was in the Riverina in 1975, so mercifully, it may not be included

France and Switzerland shut down nuclear power plants amid scorching heatwave
France and Switzerland shut down nuclear power plants due to heatwave
To cool down, nuclear power plants pump water from local rivers or the sea, which they then release back into water bodies at a higher temperature. However, this process can threaten local biodiversity if water is released which is too hot.

It’s amazing how fast they can build a concentration camp: “Alligator Alcatraz”— but they can’t manage to fix a levee, fund a hospital, or get clean water to poor communities.

Great read from Richard Flanagan on the AFL stadium. Original budget $375 million, now $1.86 billion, for just 7 games a year, in breach of all planning and heritage laws, opposed by 70% of Tasmanians. Truly unconscionable by the AFL.

@tasmaniafc.bsky.social ought to stand down on the socials for a few days. An AFL-owned entity is advising our elected representatives how to vote, not on the stadium but on who controls the state. It's on the nose and people won't forget it.

I can't believe how drip-pilled this sounds, but the ABC's obsession with "What went wrong with the Liberals" is getting absurd. Nearly a month after the election and Four Corners is dedicated to it? What about what the actual government is doing? Or not doing?
