Looks like these poor passengers on this fight from Athens aren't going to make it home to Edinburgh any time soon. I wonder why there was a go-around in the first place?

YouTube Music guessed my star sign as part of my annual recap, rather than giving me a music age.

Apparently I'm a Virgo 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just recalled that the last time I had indigestion this bad was when I got Dolly Parton's COVID vaccine in December 2022 - it's a quite rare side-effect of it!
My dinner yesterday has repeated on me so badly I was tempted to post "Can you actually die from indigestion" but then realised I'd have someone in my mentions saying you can.

(I know this to be a thing - there's a condition where your body makes uncontrolled stomach acid and it can be lethal)

This is a Good News story. But it says so much about how the transphobes are bankrolled by "her" that it got this far - most trade unions try not to go to Tribunal now as it's so risky and expensive.

Oh, and she's going to appeal. Again, something most employees can't afford to do.
Good news for trans workers

After the Girl guiding and WI announcements, some comfort for trans workers.

A Scottish tribunal has ruled that a trans-inclusive workplace policy is NOT discriminatory against a woman with gender critical views in the workplace.

A perfect thread of "you can fit an awful lot into a normal sized vehicle" examples 😆
As someone who has crammed an entire PA into the back of a Kia Ceed, I’m not sure this justifies an SUV either, tbh
December 3, 2025 at 9:58 AM
Two thoughts on this piece on wank panzers: SUVs becoming the most popular car because people need to ferry three kids around. Yeah, but average family size is dropping like a lead balloon, and you could fit three kids in the back of a Cavalier/Sierra...

'Carspreading’ is on the rise - not everyone is happy

And tomorrow's Radio 4 news will no doubt, yet again, feature the rants of listeners to Nicky Campbell on 5 Live about this. Like that actually matters.
This is the point where the anti-Reeves stories tip into madness. Criticise her performance all you like but what the hell is this?

Unfortunately the HE 2025 ballot failed at 39% turnout. I have written about why and about what desperately needs to change in UCU's national structures off the back of this result. Some HEC members need to chi up and understand their role in all this, and how disconnected they are from members.
The HE Ballot failed, now what?
If you’re reading this it is because today the UCU’s 2025 national ballot over pay and conditions in universities has failed. The last time…

Seeing this, I looked-up what the Scouts are doing. They're still very clearly trans inclusive, with a great story for Trans Day or Remembrance.

It's great that Scouts are still trans inclusive. But also SIGH.

Way to get an academic to REALLY focus on a task they'd really rather not do and complete it in record time - send it to them when they ALSO have a pile of marking to do........

The housing association I used to be heavily involved with has just constructed 21 new one and two-bed flats (taking them just over 1,000 units). Because they work so closely with their tenants, they've just posted that 13 of them are being let to downsizers, releasing bigger properties for families

My phone generated a photo album called like "loving memories" with a photo of me and my partner at dinner as the cover, and when I opened it it was just various pizzas I've eaten over the last few years with sentimental music.
