I'm on the train back from two days in London for the launch of our Centre for Collaboration in Community Connectedness and a logic modelling workshop today. I'm tired, but excited and inspired. It was at Toynbee Hall and this quote on the wall seemed apt

One of you lovely people in my phone highlighted this book and it was my holiday reading and it is excellent. I don't read much history anymore, but it's the first history I've read since Colley's Britons that's made me go "huh, that's why we are like we are".

You see, that IS the system. Our border control system is absolutely pointless. And the government would've known this before they triggered this system
just because it’s some sort of glitch in the government system that means they are unable to record who has left and who has returned to the country.

I LOVE this hymn, and so we sang it at our wedding eight years ago today. The whole ceremony was based around the Magnificat. And tonight I get to sing it at the induction of the new rector at church 🥰
