'I thought of that while riding my bike...'

Too many people don't ride a bicycle because they're afraid of motor traffic. Every city should have decent cycling infrastructure and respectful road culture 🚲🚗

Sometimes I think cycling advocates talk too much about Denmark and the Netherlands.

Then I encounter people who act like bike infrastructure is a completely novel invention that their city is trying and they have no idea how you can be a functional society (deliveries, ambulances, etc.) with it.

All these other places calling Bluesky an echo chamber for leftists and all I'm here for is like-minded socializing with other sickos that reject forced car dependency.

If cruising past a lane of traffic to wait at the front is wrong, then I don't want to be right 🚲🚦

N#1 benefit of commuting on a cheap and cheerful bike: it won’t get stolen 🚲

Bike data logged on apps like Strava can be used by town planners to create bike infrastructure based on need, and then be used again to prove a return on investment 🚲👌
