I wish there was a precedent for what happens when a demagogue picks out a vulnerable minority group and labels them as subhuman. I wonder what the next step is and whether any innocent people get hurt. And I wonder whether the demagogue's followers go on trial when the whole thing is over.

Always remember that the conclusion of THE BRAINWASHING OF MY DAD was that they got their dad back from Rush and Fox by just subscribing him to a bunch of progressive news emails.
My grandfather went through a period where he was tuning into Rush Limbaugh to “know his enemy,” and let me tell you it did NOT improve his thinking.
This is the correct take. Stewing in white supremacist propaganda is bad for your thinking. And if think you are so savvy that it won’t impact you, you are the exact kind of mark they are slowly converting (I’m looking at you, centrist pundits).
