It’s funny Zuck says “I started building social media to give people a voice” when in fact, he started building social media to publicly rate the hotness of undergrads.

The courage of Jess Phillips stands in such contrast to the craven surrender of Mark Zuckerberg. In the end great communication often requires bravery and it is the bravery that win hearts and minds.

Lots of calls for her to be stripped of her British citizenship, just like Shamima Begum. I'd urge caution. Denaturalising horrible people because we don't like them and it is geopolitically convenient isn't sound in my view. www.jpost.com/middle-east/...

necessary reading of the day. I’ve stopped using Amazon recently, it’s fairly easy to do. #sorrynotsorryjeff
So scrutinising Amazon’s business practices at the business select committee today was quite something. No contrition for their lamentable safety record, no understanding of why their workers went on strike, incredible defensiveness on why they fought GMB union recognition in Coventry

The notion of AI generated kids books/media in general is so desperately fucking bleak. I mean, obviously everyone deserves authored art made with meaning, but kids especially deserve that. They need it! Giving AI slop to a kid is, imho, absolutely no different from saying "I simply do not care"

Fully agree with Macron and Draghi, but 'wake-up call' is quickly becoming the most overused and least consequential phrase in the EU bubble
Mario Draghi and Emmanuel Macron delivered a sharp wake-up call to Brussels today, insisting Europe needed to prepare fast for the impending second round of a trade war with Donald Trump.

Genuinely interested to know how the UK media thinks it’s adding anything to the public conversation by reminding politicians what they’ve said in the past about Trump. *Everyone* agrees he’s a fat orange fascist rapist, including those reporters asking the question. It’s such pointless journalism.
