Spokane was the first (and I think still only?) city in Washington to authorize the Pavement to People tax incentive, which cuts the sales tax on new construction materials to 0 if developers build homes on a vacant parking lot.

Now it's finally bearing fruit! 🎉🏠

Spokane Transit is firing on all cylinders, but its board still seems mired in silly turf wars and personality differences. Let’s add some transit riders to decision-making to remind those elected officials who the agency exists to serve.
