Chain supply management is an exciting field. I worked at a U.S. computer center. One of the directors was in military logistics. I loved the way he thought.

Bluesky feature request: once a post passes a certain threshold of popularity... can we have a system that checks the joke you're making to see if someone already made it and pops up a "hey, 10 other people already said this, do you still want to post" warning?

So I took the time to sleep in this, but I have decided that I will offer the Reddit board a deal: I will *not* make reddit worse by killing their API, and they just need to pay me *half* of what they gave spez. A bargain.
Wait, wait, wait. So the company that had to cut off 3rd party apps that made it useful in order to make more money... paid its CEO... $193 million in stock last year?

I am SO bad at admin finance paperwork, like organizing all my receipts etc for taxtime. I try to trick my brain into thinking it's not so bad by having fun music playing, drinking some of my fave tea, using colorful markers/pens.

Anyone else go through this?

NIU's state appropriation is about $100M per year. You cannot say with a straight face that 10 years' worth of NIU grad's economic impact is less significant than a baseball stadium.
On top of extending Chicago's 2% hotel tax surcharge past 2034, Jerry Reinsdorf is seeking to get ~$400m in kickbacks of state sales taxes. Since the White Sox stadium site is already a property-tax TIF district, this would make it into a mega-TIF.
White Sox looking to get $1.7B in public money for new stadium, most in U.S. history
Just over a month ago, this site guesstimated the cost of a new Chicago White Sox stadium at $1.7 billion in public money and tax kickbacks, based on property tax exemptions already attached to the...
