Watching The Sopranos episode with Massive Genius and Adrianna just threw out literally the most insane throwaway line I've ever heard in a TV show while casually getting into bed: "Richie had third-degree burns from trying to grill that trout with a downed power-line"

Cobra Kai becomes very cartoonish as it goes on, and definitely by the end but I love Season 1 like a child

Pushing Canada towards China's sphere of influence seems low-key one of the stupidest things Trump has done.
Carney: "We can't control the trade policy of the US. We recognize it has fundamentally changed from the policy in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, & it's a situation where US has tariffs against every trading partner... what we we can control is developing new partnerships, including w/econ giants of Asia"

It appears Adem Bona didn’t fulfill his (ongoing) rookie duties — which resulted in his tire being removed and popcorn being filled in his car.

Vibes seem great with the Sixers!

I feel bad for Orion Kerkering. a) he never should have been in that spot, let Luzardo finish. b) That was Ben Simmons esque and baseball has a rich history of guys who have moments like that and don't bounce back.

I'm so wary of the Sixers this year, that I fully expect to hear that VJ Edgecombe disappeared from the team hotel in Abu Dhabi, and we'll find out by a social media video he releases that he crossed into Yemen because he was inspired by the Houthi and is dedicating his life to their cause.

Eight guys *total* in hit over 300 in the league this year?? Seems insane compared to what I remember.

I went from a die-hard baseball fan to a super casual baseball fan some time in the early 2010s in part because the Phillies winning the 08 World Series was cathartic and I moved on. With that as the premise -- I'm stunned Trea Turner won the 2025 NL batting title with a .304 average.

The Browns dumping Baker Mayfield a year after he led them to their only playoff victory since 1999 to trade for DeShaun Watson to pay him $250 million to go 9-10 over three years will never not be funny.

The end of Lost in my mind kind of marked the end of monoculture TV watching. Walking Dead (which I personally never liked so usually obscure) probably got there to be fair. Parts of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones (latter seasons due to gaining viewers from streaming). But my sense of it ends here

If Jimmy Kimmel has good writers they will open tomorrow with 'Tonight's Jimmy Kimmel Live has been preempted by order of the President of the United States' and then do a new Win Ben Stein's Money for a full segment with Ben, in which every question is about a putz and the answer is Jimmy Kimmel.
