If a company like Deadlock Pro got that AMC contract, that would have been a triumph for wrestling. But TNA got the contract evoking Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Sting while being the type of wrestling that is essentially WWE-lite so fuck em.

They can just play Subconscious on iTunes and shut the fuck up. Because at the end of the day, Nakamura has had years to want to wrestle. He had several opportunities to want to feel inspired and dissatisfied with his lot in life if he was passionate about this wrestling shit. He isn’t so let it go.
Most of the people on the Nakamura side have been having the same awful takes for like 7 years now or have been banging a really stupid drum over and over for about 4 years. That’s why these stories never go away.
I am so sick of this being a story. Nakamura worked in NOAH as well and no one gave a shit. Who is a bigger star? A protected and still in his prime Okada or a heavily underused and cooked Nakamura? Shinsuke’s last great match was literally his NXT debut.

The actual worst AEW PPV of the year was Dynasty 2025. Mone vs a very not game Julia Hart. A Hurt Syndicate stinker. Jericho’s last AEW match vs Bandido. And a contentious Mox vs Swerve match.

WWE fans are the type to actively advocate for a shittier product and then get elitist at folks for putting in effort. Fewer and shorter matches. Longer entrances. Low effort ring work. Nonsensical stories. Scandal and ethical failures? Don’t want to think about it.

Is there a term for watching so much slop in one genre that somehow skews your perspective and understanding of that genre that you think everything of that genre has to be done this exact way? That’s WWE fans when it comes to wrestling outside of WWE.

For decades, I wanted someone to tell WWE that Rey Misterio was an alias that meant Mystery King, and isn’t like his name. So naming his son Dominick Mysterio when he doesn’t wear a mask is a culmination of Michael Cole really thinking in WWE naming conventions and no one ever corrected him.

The C2 should be for the world title. The tournament is way too lit and motherfuckers put in way too much work for it to be for a midcard title. Especially if TNT champions and ROH champions have competed in it.
