2023 was the WWE-ification of AEW and was when it was losing its way. 2024 was the restructuring of AEW and the drive to reinvent itself by getting back to its roots, but really it was AEW leaning into work rate and performances. 2025 is AEW finally “restoring the feeling.”

Miranda Alize was an indie journey woman who has worked for ROW(Booker’s promotion) and pre-AEW ROH(one of the finalists for the inaugural women’s championship tournament). That being her said, her offense is Ivellisse inspired and she acts as a heel in that boss bitch tomboy with attitude.

While understand why people are angry at AEW for not using Nyla Rose, I think we should be cognizant that the moment AEW does use her, WWE via Triple K and Linda McMahon will use their connections or active participation in this White House to punish her and AEW for it.

There are only two other wrestlers that I trust to pull off what Mercedes is doing and who have built the good will with other wrestling companies indie or major: Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega. And even then, it’s would be dicey because the egos involved.
