In honor of Bill, I felt it relevant to share some of the great wisdom he bestowed upon us from the dais. From taking turns trying to find Bill around city hall, as he dreaded some of his meetings, to sorting his entire office staff into harry potter houses, I truly enjoyed my time working with him.

I received irrationally furious emails and messages from strangers who really really really do not like that I constantly tell people that:
1. Yes you need to know who your neighbors are.
2. We are interdependent and cannot survive without other people.
These are basic true things.

If you have limited time available, consider devoting it to fundraising for small projects and groups. There's a lot of need for funds and fundraising has become absolutely more difficult. Pick a group in your area and take it upon yourself to raise funds in all the ways you can.

This highlights such an important complexity in self managed abortion work because it involves the demedicalization of a process that has, and continues to be, safe and effective and exists with or without clinical care.
A growing body of research demonstrating the safety and effectiveness of self-managed abortion with pills, coupled with the global pandemic in 2020 and the fall of Roe in 2022, has many U.S. doctors changing their views.
