What it means is that there is no such thing as an unimportant election, so vote every single time or you’ll end up desperately trying to convince new generations to fix your mistakes.
Growing up in Gen Z is realizing that every claim of “this is the more important election of your lifetime” is a lie, because that was 2000, and they stole it.
