Immigration isn’t the problem, it’s the solution to the question of how to distract from the heist of the American economy by the wealthiest people in the country.

Just such a stark reminder that white racists have never been, and will never be, cool.

When I’m depressed, I sing a special melancholy song, to the tune of Disney’s Pinocchio’s, “I Got No Strings.” It goes:

“Life is hard
And then you die
But just don’t ask
No questions why”

And it works!!! I’m still alive! Despite some really fucked up shit, too!!!

Remember when Hollywood was functioning and producing content in a regular basis? That was so cool. (You had to be there.)

This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

I think often of the women in the Louis CK story—how they all left comedy and never went back, but he’s still going. It’s everywhere and it’s such a loss for them and for us—for things they’ll never make that we’ll never see.
the Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex

The glibness with which these people are dismissing what is, fundamentally, an extensive record of elite atrocities makes me think it’s better if I don’t finish this sentence
raise your hand if you are not, in fact, in the Epstein files

In no functioning country is this allowed.
Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

In related news, lighting my house on fire has greatly reduced the number of door-to-door salesmen.
Former Trump adviser Bryan Lanza on CNN: "The roughness you‘ve seen displayed by Customs and Border and ICE. Those images have actually stopped, you know, border crossings. Like as much as as much as people are offended by it, the roughness of it has actually stopped border crossings."

Bondi directed federal agents to arrest four journalists.

Georgia Fort, Don Lemon, Jamael Lundy, and Trahern Crews.

All Black. All doing their jobs.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

This is worth watching. "I don't feel like I have my First Amendment right as a member of the press because now federal agents are at my door arresting me for filming the church protest." Fort also says the agents said they had an indictment from a grand jury.
Minnesota based Independent Journalist GEORGIA FORT has been arrested for filming a protest of the church pastor that works as an ICE manager. SPREAD THE WORD! Georgia has been doing outstanding reporting from ground zero!

This is terrible. It is also an opportunity for certain journalists to finally speak up with a *fraction* of the courage the people of Minneapolis have shown. It is also instructive that Lemon is Black. Woe/pox etc upon white journalists who don’t freak out about this.
Don was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles.

Disney's Wonder Man has zero right to be this good. While The Penguin was the DC Universe's take on The Godfather, Wonder Man is the Marvel Universe's take on My Dinner with Andre. And somehow, it works. Brilliantly.
