Those at the top count on the poor and working class to turn on their own in hopes of personal gain. They understand if you dangle a carrot in front of them they'll always pick themselves over community, especially in desperate times.

I just finished watching Wicked. I think it's so relevant to our current time. And it's not lost on me that the role of Elphaba needed to be played by a Black woman. This film has more levels than an onion. Those expressing outrage have boiled this down to just a film rather than a work of art.
