Life hack: if you have anxiety about cold-calling your congressional reps and senators, call after hours and leave a message. It still counts but you don't have to talk to anyone.

You are seen and loved. Your right to exist and thrive is non-negotiable.

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

Ok here's the thing, I think a lot of you need to learn the value of being in community without sucking yourselves dry. Create boundaries. You don't have to be friends with the people you help + who help you. If you're the sole means of someone's survival, you're helping NOBODY.

Hey. 1955 was equally as close to 1990 as 1990 is to 2025.

This is a proposed law targeting exactly one person: Incoming trans Congresswoman Sarah McBride of Delaware. Nancy Mace is a transphobic, hateful troll who voted with teen rapist Matt Gaetz to depose her own party’s speaker, but the bathrooms. That’s where she’s focused.

Tbh humans weren't meant to be as interconnected as we are. When we don't reach out, we're not (always) isolating. We're living our lives with intention. That has to be okay.

Thank you. This is exactly what I miss about the social media of forgotten days.
I saw a take that was like "bluesky needs an algorithm, I don't want to see 100 posts like 'i made coconut curry today'" and I cannot disagree more. I log on to humanity's World Wide Web to see human thoughts. I do not need a god damned robot to tell me which thoughts it thinks are the most human
