Perpetually tired gamer and movie buff.
I created It Was A Sh*t Show and once saw Danny Boyle at the airport.

Since we’re all poking the mutuals bear:
Last Crusade is the best Indy, Vengeance is the better Die Hard, Rise of Skywalker isn’t that bad, Mario Odyssey is superior to Breath of the Wild, Rockstar makes subpar games for sociopaths, Fortnite is legit, songs shouldn’t fade out, screw Thanksgiving.
Classic?

100% this!
Nuremberg level trials for all of these criminals and hate mongers. If you can’t get behind that, you shouldn’t run or hold office.
There are going to be prominent Democrats and mainstream media voices who insist that we have to "turn the page" and "forgive and forget" and they should all be roundly ignored, if not mercilessly mocked.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

When did this “Marvel-style humor” enter the lexicon? You know movies have always had jokes and quips in them, right?

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

To be fair, this is about the same amount of funny as an actual Friends episode.
AI sitcom accidentally a Lynchian fever dream. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and insane lament.

Why is swimming underwater the most annoying control scheme in every video game? When you’re actually underwater, you have complete control of the direction you face and move in. So why in games do we always feel like a massive drunken 747 that takes an hour to turn around?

Another video! This one took me far too long to complete…
Making a mechanical great white is hard. Let’s talk about how difficult it was to make Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece, Jaws, from the never ending problems with the film’s shark, to the chaos of filming on the open ocean.

Sometimes I think the bar for film quality has been lowered so far and for so long, films like Dune 2 & Sinners, which are pretty, with great performances, but fail at basic screenwriting and/or filmmaking, are raved about because all they did was clear that depressingly low bar.

You know what, rapture them.
For those who actually believe it, we’d be better off without them in the voter pool.
Thanks in advance @thegodpodcast.com!

I can’t believe how far The Bear fell in quality. The “film school” BS was grating in S3 but boy did S4 just spin its wheels for 10ep. The most damning thing you can say is if you finish S2 then watch only the S4 finale, it would narratively make sense as nothing in the preceding 19 episodes matter.

One has to wonder about the type of people who were recording someone they admired and agreed with, and the moment he was shot, hurriedly and excitedly posted it to social media, for clicks, likes, and engagement.
Great world we got here…

Skyfall is very poorly written. Silva’s nonsense plan, Bond’s instant aging/trauma, undoing the point of a reboot with constant references/callbacks, Bond taking advantage of a sexual abused woman… oh and Craig’s haircut is dumb.
Sure is a pretty movie though!
What is your most controversial James Bond opinion?

David Bowie as Tesla in The Prestige. What an insane out of the box choice.
New question for the class: what are your favorite appearances by a musical artist in a film or TV show? Playing live, acting role, whatever. Whaddya got?

Making superpowers gritty is hard. Let’s talk about how difficult it was to make 2015’s Fantastic Four, from director Josh Trank’s erratic behavior to reshooting a third of the film months before releasing.

One of my favorite Lisa Simpson quotes (about Comic Book Guy):
“His favorite thing is Star Wars. And he HATES Star Wars!”
I am completely fascinated by fandoms that hate the thing they're fans of.

And 12% were insane enough to think Leslie Knope would vote for Trump. It’s almost like a chunk of the American electorate are uninformed dummies…
Oct. 2024 poll: 66% of U.S. adult citizens who were familiar with Hank Hill thought if he were to vote in the 2024 presidential election, he would vote for Donald Trump
16% said he would vote for Kamala Harris

During our midnight screening of Batman Begins, when Gordon flipped over the card that said Joker, a guy dressed in a Bat suit rose to his feet, cheering. The guy in front of him said “that’s it,” turned around, and punched him in the face.
Got me thinking.. What's the strongest reaction you've seen an audience member have to a scene in a cinema?

During the birthday party scene in SIGNS I saw a whole row of young women literally throw their popcorn in the air like a cartoon.
Someone in my audience had a very audible negative reaction to the dog scene in TOGETHER. So that was fun!

Exactly this. For everyone on here sharing all these slam dunks, the other side is doing the exact same thing, edited for their own purposes.
The new Jubilee video is like 15 racists vs one journalist or something and all the racists are using it to get big Twitter followers and I’m begging people to understand that this is not a media entity operating with anyone’s best interest in mind
