No, I know what you mean. Part of it is that it wasn’t framed as a joke or as bullshitting, which is how he usually gets away with press abuse. It was just brisk, direct, sour & personal contempt, of a kind that echoes back to years of his misogynist insults… on back to the Miss America pageant
