People should've and would've been talking about Anniversary. But Apparently Lionsgate buried it because of Charlie Kirk, for fear of being seen as critical of authoritarianism. If I can persuade a few of you to watch it, I'll have done something.

Very true. My Belgian relatives are messaging me en masse and worried like I’ve never seen them before, they’re sad, panicked, and also angry — not to mention, perplexed as to how we could’ve allowed this to happen
Friends in Europe are freaking out right now. More than they were the day we first reelected this piss-frosted monster. I can't believe where we are. Meanwhile, American magas still maga-ing away.

Trump has had a bee in his bonnet about NATO since he got back from Moscow in 1987.

Invading Greenland would break apart the Alliance—Putin’s biggest goal.

A lot of people didn’t want to believe Trump is a Kremlin asset in 2018, or even last year, but it’s time to (figuratively) come to Jesus.

I said this years ago - anyone w a modicum of critical thought would draw the same conclusion, it’s simply MATH
The political point of all this, in Minneapolis and elsewhere, is to distract the Republican base from the fact that Trump cannot actually deport 14 million people as he promised. Terror and violence against some immigrants and their liberal allies is an entertaining substitute for the impossible.
Not gonna quote tweet Bouie, but he is illuminating something I was also wondering: what is the actual goal of Miller and ICE in Minneapolis beyond terror and violence? Cleansing the Somali community? Running every immigrant out of town? Turning the city into a ghost town? None of this will happen
