However, the image clearly shows that if I listed it here with a description, the original headline omitted any reference to Jews or Hanukkah being the actual Target. I showed the headlines original, side by side with my additions, to show the effort it took in anti-Semitism to deny Jews as murder victims. CNN should read gunfire, injuries reported at Sydney's Bondi Beach targeting Hanukkah celebration, two people in custody The second CNN should read live updates: nine people killed in shooting targeting Jews at Australia's bondi Beach The guardian should read Australian Bondi Beach Hanukkah shooting live updates: 9 Jews dead, plus one shooter, with another alleged shooter in critical condition; home affairs minister condemns 'appalling act of violence' The BBC article actually, surprisingly, did not omit the reality that Jews were targets. This comes after a scathing internal and UK government report showing the BBC had long been committing actual anti-semitism. AP News should read police say two will arrested after reports of several people shot at Hanukkah celebration at beach in Sydney Reuters at least got this part right. Strange that Reuters and bbc, and nbc, and the New York post, are pretty much the only ones that even mentioned it until hours later, if at all Washington Post should read nine killed in shooting targeting Jews celebrating Hanukkah in Sydney The New York Times should read police urge people to avoid Sydney's Bondi murder incident targeting Jews celebrating Hanukkah there NPR should read gunman targeting Jews celebrating Hanukkah kill nine people at Sydney's Bondi Beach Sky News should read what we know so far about mass shooting targeting Jews celebrating Hanukkah at Sydney's Bondi Beach Al Jazeera should read Jews murdered at Bondi Beach shooting, live: one alleged shooter killed Words matter. Omitting Jews -- as Jews -- as being the actual targets, matters.
