UK bananas come from an island that doesn't grow any.

Bananas selling for £1 start life with 13p cost. Another 47p added through intragroup transactions, booked in tax havens. Supermarket incurs cost, sells for £1.

No tax paid on 47p profit.

HMRC makes no estimate of tax lost via profit shifting.
UK governments are failing to curb corporate tax abuses and leaving people to pay the price
Governments remain obsessed with austerity and choose not to inconvenience the rich or curb tax abuses by corporations.

Cutting disability support isn't a tough choice, it's the easy option.

The Government must drop any idea of balancing the books on the backs of the poorest & disabled people.

Instead, those with the broadest shoulders should be made to pay their fair share.

Remember, if you're cheering on Labour and what it's currently doing:

- You're only a single medical emergency away from needing benefits

- You're only a few missed pay cheques away from homelessness

- You're only one war away from being a refugee

Have some fucking empathy

'Balancing the books' on the backs of poor and disabled people was wrong when the Tories did it, and it would be wrong now.

It’s a political choice - one that could push 700,000 households into poverty.

Our government should instead tax the ballooning wealth of the super-rich.

Lucky for the tractor drivers they weren't objecting to the continued burning of fossil fuels leading to environmental degradation, natural disasters, weather extremes, food insecurity, economic disruption, conflict, and terrorism.

Still can't quite see how an ambulance would get through though.

Posting footage of deportations impresses no one. Reform voters don’t think it’s enough hatred and the rest of us turn away from yet more performative cruelty. The Labour vote disintegrates.
If Labour can’t decide who it should be talking and listening to, then it ends up without an audience.

1) They benefit from public services such as roads, emergency services etc

2) They are already more fortunate than the vast majority of people

And we still pay him over £28m/year. 🤷‍♂️
