Since day one, the demand has been the same: oversight and accountability from this cruel administration.

Today, I returned to Delaney Hall alongside @booker.senate.gov and @menendez.house.gov We’re not backing down from holding Trump accountable in our communities and the halls of Congress.

Since coverage seems halfassed to nonexistent, part of why Senator Booker & Reps McIver & Menendez went back to Delaney Hall today was because they reintroduced the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act.

It phases out private detention centers & hold facilities accountable for unsafe conditions.

Whatever is in the Epstein Files is so explosive that the leaders of the Department of Justice are openly breaking the law every day to keep us from seeing it. (Just a reminder amongst all the other stuff flying around.)

I was told by the noisy Do Somethings that Democrats weren't fighting, though.

I said what I said.

If Black women ever decided to sit this out, the Democratic Party wouldn’t struggle, it would stop functioning.

And yet their leadership is still treated as optional.

When ‘Electability’ Is the Excuse
We say “Black women are the backbone of the Democratic Party.” But there’s also an unspoken rule that comes with it. The praise is fine. The power is not.

She's the president we should have had. She's the president we still need. She's the president we can get in 2028.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. loved America. He loved our country so much that he dedicated his life — and in the end, his life was taken — in a fight for our nation's highest ideal: Freedom.

Dr. King believed our democracy would only make sense when every child was fed, every mind was educated, and every community had dignity and freedom.

That vision is still unfolding. So, on this MLK Day, let us recommit to the work of building the world he dared to imagine.

The Charleston Massacre: Memory, Loss, and Legacy with Eliana Pinckney
We’re joined by Eliana Pinckney, daughter of the late Rev. Clementa Pinckney, to reflect on the Charleston massacre’s lasting impact and her father’s legacy of love, service, and civic duty. Eliana takes us back to being 11 and honors her mother’s quiet strength. She then talks about what it’s like to be part of the 9/11 generation shaped by gun violence, living with vigilance and exhaustion while “thoughts and prayers” continue to replace policy. We also talk about civic education, performative politics, and how Eliana turns art into activism and community into change.
