Yesterday, Spc Sarah Becstrom was laid to rest in West Virginia at a VA National Cemetery.

Houlton officials used surveillance cameras equipped with facial recognition technology to track people and vehicles. This clearly violated state law restricting when state and local governments can use this technology. Only after Houlton residents threatened to sue did the town remove the cameras.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Last night, he treated big GOP donors to dinner on his new White House patio.

The director of the BOP recently sent out an email stating that the president, attorney general, & OMB have found a way to pay 0007 series employees. It implied that this would happen during the shutdown, as some employees are not showing up for work bc they aren’t being paid. Is this plan legal?

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

Last week, I and others reported 5+ ICE flights had landed in Ghana since it began taking third-country nationals on Sept. 5.
