Single dose Butantan-DV is a live, attenuated vaccine for Dengue.

In late-stage human trials, the vaccine showed 74.7 per cent overall efficacy, 91.6 per cent efficacy against more severe forms of the disease and 100% against hospitalizations. #IDSky

A mosquito-borne arbovirus, O’nyong’nong virus (ONNV) is an acute febrile illness w/HA, large joint pains, +/- rash & LAD.

It was identified in 1959 but remains relatively rare, partially due to limited diagnostics. These are the 1st reported Nigerian cases… #IDSky

It's only now approaching clinical trials c/o IAVI w/ US BARDA funding.
