About to be burdened by what will be. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Dad (jokes and bod)
This strangely is phrased as a rebuke to Joe Biden, and not as a consequence of his policies being unwound (like the expiration of the ARP expanded child tax credit, which produced the largest reduction in child poverty on record). He asked Congress to extend them but they refused.
A new Census Bureau report establishes that poverty increased over the course of the Biden administration.

The data is yet another rebuke to the politicians and commentators who insisted economic conditions under Joe Biden were great.

Men are not constantly being told “you’re bad,” they are constantly being told “LEFT WING SJWS THINK YOU’RE BAD” by conservative propaganda. There’s a huge difference.
I have two sons, and I don't think I've ever seen messaging going "Don't be a boy" or "YOU'RE BAD."

Sure looks like that's in "I heard someone say that they heard..." territory, rather than actual direct experience.

Also worth noting, the main message from manosphere influencers is "YOU'RE BAD."
It's a brutal time for young men, and to be raising one. The primary message they now is get is "YOU'RE BAD" without any meaningful attempt to offer healthy pathways beyond "Don't be a boy."

Absolutely perfect time for right wing monsters to sweep in with shitty answers.

New in PN: @therickwilson.bsky.social on Marco Rubio's great debasement

"He’s not only betrayed every value he ever claimed to have, but he’s profoundly — at a level I can barely articulate — harming the country. It’s an astounding comedown for a guy who was once thought of as someone of principle"
Rick Wilson on Marco Rubio's debasement
"He’s become an obscene parody of the guy Marco Rubio once claimed to be."

"woke" meant

"being aware of injustice & inequality... individuals who are attentive to social issues, particularly race & discrimination"

so... a group of people turned "being aware of injustice & inequality" into an insult

I think often on what this says about so many ppl in this country

Okay but when *I* tell them that I’m being condescending?
MORAN: Even some people who voted for you are saying, 'I didn't sign up for this.' So how do you answer those concerns?

TRUMP: Well, they did sign up for it actually

Please highlight this story.

ICE stormed into the wrong house, trashed the place, and made women/girls stand outside in the rain in their underwear. ICE also stole phones, laptops, and cash savings from the family, who moved to OKC two weeks ago.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

I very much recommend people watch this series of clips. I suggest doing so because I've noticed a lot of 2024 election analyses seem to 1) misrepresent what Harris said/did & 2) project upon Harris things she did not say/did not do.
