Good news: more than 50% of the world’s economies have seen carbon emissions from fossil fuel power generation peaking. And with the speed of change in the electricity sector many more will join this growing list in coming years.

ACTUAL GOOD NEWS WARNING

65% of the planned coal capacity from 2015 ended up not existing, thanks almost entirely to climate policy and renewable energy construction

China is an outlier - but maybe not for long

Meanwhile, in the far-left progressive bastion of ... entire State of Utah:

"The plan shows 3,100 miles of paths. The network would come within a mile of 95% of Utahns, connect to 33 school campuses, 31 state/national parks, and 74 high-capacity transit stations."

Each state can limit Citizens United in their own state & they don’t have to wait for other states to do it.

In 2024, Lexington, MA, banned gas hookups in new construction and required high energy-efficiency in buildings. Critics argued that this would slow new and affordable construction, but this has not been the case for Lexington. Sustainability and affordability can coexist! 🏢 #climatepolicy
This Massachusetts town banned gas — and housing boomed anyway
Critics say stringent, pro-electrification building codes and restrictions on natural gas will impede housing developers. A Boston suburb is proving them…

Nepal's Gurung people manage fragile alpine pastures through the ‘thiti’ system, which sets annual guidelines for rotational grazing, forest use and herb collection.

Conservationists view thiti as a proven Indigenous approach to protecting high-altitude grasslands threatened by climate change.

None of this was meant to be even remotely possible!!

"Our measurements show that wheat and grass-clover mixtures grow just as well between vertical solar panels as in open fields. At the same time, the panels produce electricity in a daily pattern that better matches energy demand. It's a win-win,"

Vertical rows are the agrivoltaic winner!

“The vertical panels produce slightly less electricity—but with higher value, as generation peaks coincide with morning and late afternoon demand…The crops don't seem to mind the presence of solar panels and they like the wind protection they provide.”

Do this everywhere. If you need help preparing your clay earth for building or creating a small curriculum, etc., I'm happy to assist.
Not just children who need these opportunities to increase their handprint rather than their footprint. Passive houses , deep retrofitting is not far away from here:
I saw this recently, at a place called Jeugdland (Youth Land) in Amsterdam. It seems that someone is teaching kids how natural materials were once used to build housing. Which is pretty great!
