I remember going to see Nikki Giovanni when I was in college and we sat around her feet. Her energy filled the room and her smile was enrapturing. I literally cried before and after. A beautiful soul, and she had on purple eyeliner. I hope she’s enveloped in love with the ancestors. Rest in power 💜

My therapist was explaining how trauma affects the brain causing anxiety. How your brain sees everything as a threat so its defenses are always on. Tries to take down anything that might harm you. I was like you know what? That sounds like an autoimmune disease.

I feel like if someone blocked me it was likely for their peace of mind or I didn’t follow them back fast enough 😂. Either way I’m not bout to go figure out if I’m blocked or not. Not my monkey not my circus 🤷🏾♀️
