The threat to judges and their families is appalling.

SSI recipients are currently only allowed to save $2,000 (for individuals) or $3,000 (for couples). After that they lose their entire monthly benefit. We need to update the rules so that people can save enough to meet their needs

Thanks to KFF Health News and many others for reporting on this issue. SSA's decision to reverse a policy designed to prevent beneficiaries from losing their entire monthly income when repaying mistakenly issued benefits is extremely disappointing.

These office closures and "consolidation" actions are barriers to access that are effectively a benefit cut.

With #SNAP benefits averaging only $6.20 per person per day, I appreciate Chair Thompson's interest in avoiding benefit cuts. But it's not possible to cut $230B+—which would be a more than 20% cut to SNAP—without cutting benefits, eligibility, or both. www.politico.com/live-updates...
