No longer a "gifted child" and not sure what to do about it
Better in theory than in practice
Is there a #tingleverse book that's "Crushed by the Weight of Responsibility and Pounded by Poorly-Timed Household Issues, but in the End I Finally Feel Some Control Over My Life" cause that's the book I need right now @chucktingle.bsky.social please

My immune system couldn't protect me from a temperature change, but it WILL kill me because of a bug bite

My immune system is like a mob boss who demands $$ (energy) in order to protect me (from HPV at the pool) but then beats the shit out of me anyway (sinus infection)

Part of what is exhausting about people being angry about the Met Gala is that it indicates such an utter ignorance about the — yes, deeply fucked — way that nonprofits have to fund themselves in this shitty fucking era

Thr horrors persist, but the Oblivion remaster is out, and I have leftover Easter candy. At least in this virtual world, I can make a difference.

My partner doesn't get sweet messages at work. He gets "THE BABY ATE TOILET PAPER" and "OBLIVION SHADOWDROPPED CAN I HAVE IT" and yet he still loves us <3

Breast cancer diagnoses rose by over 300% between 1973 and 1992.

Was there a breast cancer epidemic?!

NO.

Mammograms were implemented for screening in 1976.

PREVALENCE is a function of being able to correctly diagnose something.

This is also about autism.

I attended a Good Friday service with family at a new church, and the disconnect from small, nondom churches to megachurch services is a great example of the disconnect of Trump supporters (even when 80% of those in attendance are all Trump supporters.)

Bigots are always asking the (dishonest) question, "what is a woman?" --

But I think it's worth discussing the real question at the heart of their beliefs, which is, "Who gets to be a woman?" [1/?]

Indiana Comic Con is next week, and that's been my goal to focus on to keep myself sane, and I have no idea what's gonna happen afterwards but at least I'll have a pretty dress to wear

The first measles death in the US in a decade -- the tragic, preventable death of a child whose parents chose not to protect them with vaccination -- should spark an immediate nation-wide campaign to ensure all children are protected against preventable diseases. Anything less is unconscionable.

Imagine being rich enough to do anything you want and choosing to take food and medicine from starving children to give yourself even more money.

Crockett: "It's just that they're idiots. These are the same guys as it relates to our nuclear stockpile, they're like, 'Oh, wait a minute, we needed those guys? Can we get them back? Oh, we don't know how to.' I don't know how anyone can look at this administration & feel a semblance of confidence"

I'm not sure I even have the empathy to root for Anakin, lately. Yeah, sure, he'll come back to the light eventually, but there's so much that's going to go down in these next 17 years that I just can't even try to care.
I really just need to watch Andor instead.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too.

EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them.
