Made the mistake of commenting support for the EU/UK "Brexit Reset" on the Metro on Facebook. Suffice it to say, I'm a leftie, traitor moron apparently lol

Also"accused" of getting the COVID Jab... Idiots.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Thanks James. I'm listening to yesterday's show on catch up, and just snort laughed on the tube to your naked neighbour / on the fence joke.

Now I look like a Daily Mail headline about Keir Starmer having a curry in Durham...

Finished a game of Civ6 (vanilla) on the Steam Deck - absolutely perfect. I could literally spend an entire day playing it. Also just completed one of the most wholesome games of all time, Unpacking, played it years ago but forgot just got thoroughly pleasant it is.

Remarkable to see so many of those who talked up "Global Britain" in the pre and post Brexit fantasy now deliberately talking our country down and saying we can't move without US

For the first time in years, we look grown up, and whatever you might think of Starmer, then that's to be applauded.

Make this person president of the world
My washing machine has 11 programs but I have only ever used one. My dishwasher has five but I've only ever used one. And I never change the microwave power settings, either. Manufacturers should focus on reliability and not options.

There we are

It's not too late to go back. First step, we need a new referendum to validate the decision to go back. The state of geopolitics at the moment is necessitating closer ties to Europe.
If Brexit had never happened…

…we’d be much wealthier, with more investment in public services, better trade - and with our parliament & govt having spent the last decade doing far more productive things.

Up in 5 hours for work. Better get some sleep.

Finally gotten to pay on my Steam Deck for a bit. First game almost completed - Papers, Please. Forgot what an absolute masterpiece this is and it feels like it was made for the deck. Certainly brilliant with touch screen. Well worth a few playthroughs, pretty sure there's like 20 endings.

Yes my son.
Just ate a whole cold jacket potato straight out the fridge. Holding it and taking bites like an apple. 100% will do again.

Bloody hell Fesshole, this might be a bit too spicy.
In the winter when water is colder coming out of the tap, I fill the kettle before I go to bed so that it warms up to room temperature over night and takes less time to boil in the morning.

Was this my fess?
I'm only 37, but I quietly worry about the people, mainly younger, at work who refuse to connect their laptops to the bigger screens at eye level on each desk, instead looking down at their smaller screens all day. It can't be good for their necks or general posture.

Just say "doo-kuh"
Got a dog. Son chose the name Duke. Was fine with this at first. But became paranoid that shouting the name whilst on a walk sounded like I was shouting "Jew". So have resorted to really enunciating it as "dyuke", but now I sound like Jacob Rees-Mogg. Lose lose.

Nothing like a silent fart in silence. But seriously though if your farts smell like dog farts, you got problems.
Best thing about having a dog is I've developed a method where I can silent fart in silence and blame it on the dog when the wife moans

Damnit you know the Torygraph and Daily Heil will pick this up "lazy civvies fart their way to work at home"... I dunno
The main reason I'm against the push to return to office working is the ease and frequency that I now break wind at my desk at home, without considering if someone can hear. I'm worried I'll forget where I am and just let one rip in front of my colleagues.

Yes
Recently got a puppy, his shits smell exactly like my late dad's shits. Could he be reincarnated as a dog?

Is this my nephew??
My birthday is on the 27th January and a small, ugly part of me resents the fact that I share it with Holocaust Memorial Day. Can't tell anyone, of course

Life rule. Don't stick your finger up a bum without permission.
New girlfriend thrust her middle finger up my bum during sex. Pulled it out wet, covered in debris and stunk. Kinda killed the moment and we've not had sex since.

Big W.
Ex left me for another man 15 years ago. Subsequently threw myself into work and started a business that grew over time and eventually sold last year. The money was great; even better was knowing that ex knew all about my success due to her regular views of my LinkedIn profile.

Don't.

Fuck.

This.

Up.
No other policy proposal or infrastructure investment has the potential to move the economic dial on this scale in this timeframe.

In monetary terms, if used 1-for-1, the proceeds could fund increases to the NHS capital budget for 2 yrs.

Enough of empty Brexit rhetoric. Let's fund our NHS instead.
🚨NEW RESEARCH🚨

Closer ties with the EU could deliver growth of up to 2.2%.

Clawing back up to half of the damage caused by Brexit.

Delivering double the impact of a UK-US trade deal, according to the govt's own analysis.

And all within Starmer's red lines.
