When hearing talk about the need to protect the Tasmanian salmon industry, just remember this is not a local-owned industry. It is dominated by foreign-owned companies.

The profits go offshore, and they don’t pay tax here.

But the environmental damage very much happens here.

As the first term of a federal Labor government comes to an end this is unacceptable.

All this, while our local high school can't fit its own students on campus, so will send an entire year cohort to the 6th floor of a glorified office building in the CBD, nowhere near parks or basic school facilities (ie sport, music, science).
