Thank you @ianbyrnemp.bsky.social for inviting me to speak about universal free school meals at the launch of the Right to Food Commission.

We now have 300,000 people signed up and the establishment is clearly frightened.

Westminster is broken, but the real crisis is inequality: just fifty families now own more wealth than half the population.

Let’s change that together.

Rise caused by parents ferrying children in Range Rovers and SUVs, not using public transport.

We’re so far out of normal times. I’m nearly 50. I’ve seen a lot of bad governments and very bent politicians, but I’ve never seen anything as blatant as Streeting’s lies and open corruption.

But most people don’t see real news any more. Our news now is like Eastern Bloc media was when I was a kid.

Surely not by declaring you won’t arrest a man wanted for mass atrocity crimes today.

If there is one thing the Labour leadership are resolutely, unshakably for, it’s crony capitalism. Their entire program rests on derisking BlackRock, et al, to somehow deliver ‘growth’ so they can escape the zero sum distributional politics inherent to our time.
One of the most inexplicable and politically inexcusable of Labour's manifold failings is their failure to draw dividing lines, to clearly elucidate what they are *against*.

If they are against disgusting crony capitalism, why don't they say so?

Even better, why not actually do something about it?
