Private equity is an enemy of the people. plain and simple.
Walgreens is in talks to sell itself to private equity firm Sycamore Partners.

If the deal goes through than one of America’s biggest pharmacy chains will be even more dominated by profits and greed as the industry reports understaffing, overwork, and declining customer care.

the fascinating innovation of capitalism is that the peasants believe that they too can become lords with enough hard work and pulling of bootstraps.

The alleged killer is not a leftist by any stretch of the imagination and instead is podcast bro and right adjacent. This clearly illuminates our (the American left) path forward.

Focus on healthcare and the parasitic owning class. Control the narrative. That's how real change goes mainstream.

I don't think I can say this enough: the environmental movement has lost its way.

Environmentalism is not about sustainability and finding substitutes for fossil fuels in solar, wind, etc.

Environmentalism is about saving as much of the planet as possible, about preserving our beautiful home.

A collective cybernetic economy can be for humanity what mycorrhizal mycelium is for a forest. These fungal networks naturally distribute resources and share information across the forest. This natural system offers hope for a flourishing economy that puts people and planet before profit.

therapeutic legalization of psychedelics is certainly a good thing. I worry however that if we don't also focus on the radical potential of these plants and compounds we are surrendering our path to the true life-world that the experience illuminates.

Psychedelics allow contact with some form of greater consciousness or realm of experience. For anyone that’s had an experience at sufficient dosage, the idea that it could have been generated internally is laughable.

Degrowth is terrible branding. Try pitching it to a normal person and gauge their reaction. We need a vision of a flourishing humanity that doesn’t elicit feelings of backwardness or poverty. We have more enough for everyone it’s just about putting people and planet before profit.
