#Read Elven Star by Weis & Hickman. I recall thinking this was the weakest entry in the saga. It's more terrifying and 4th wall breaking than I remembered. Glad to see Zifnab again. Got more of his references than when I was a kid. Still, could have done with less broken walls. #fantasy #books.

The Lost Generation of Angels

After Isaac Asimov passed away in 1992, I was asked to provide cover art for a posthumous tribute in "Asimov's Science Fiction" magazine. 1/4
A shiny robot sits upon a stack of books. The ground beneath is rendered like the metal covered surface of the planet Trantor. Wearing a white cloak with hood up, the robot casually drapes one arm over a bent knee. In the other hand, it holds a bowl with a flicker of flame extending off it. Behind the robot stands Isaac Asimov with iconic mutton chops and glasses smiling for the audience. A mechanical keyboard is propped at his side. An inverted glass pyramid floats next to him. A spiral galaxy unwinds at an angle in the background sky. Notably that sky contains not just the dots of stars but the tiny swirls of other galaxies. Low in the sky, the corona of a star in total eclipse flares.

Finished #StrangerThings season 5. Even though they went to a different direction after season 1 than what I wanted, I did like the story they told a lot. Loved these characters. Ending was very sweet. The epilogue made me tear up. One of the best #shows I have #watched.

2. #BaldursGate3. Including it again. Another top10 games of all time.
3. #JaggedAlliance3. I really like turn-based strategy and rpg games.

Played #AstroBot. Fun platformer. Liked the boss fights. Some of the end levels were actually challenging. I can see how this was the #game of the year for some people the other year.

#Read Modern #History of Hong Kong. It's a well-written, pretty in-depth #book that follows Hong Kong's history through the British rule until it was returned to China in 1997. Main "problem" of the book is the cutoff point 1997. Would have loved an updated edition with a look to recent events.
