Hi new people. I’m Eva and I mainly post my own fantasy drawings and paintings.
Listening to Shelved by Genre Book of New Sun series, as they talk about Shadow of the Torturer. I read it & Claw of Conciliator in 2023. Fun to refresh memory on those, while reading the fourth book

I wish I could see more of the really dumb drawings famous artists have made. Did they draw them for their friends. Or just because they could.

Some while ago there was random art advice thing circulating and today I thought what I’d add.
Take the time. Speed is not the most essential quality and is often to the detriment of the work.
I think this is very apparent in lot of vis dev and concept I see, bg art too. Needs more time to cook

I’m still reading Moby Dick (in English, not my native language) which means I am also learning a lot of ship terminology. My reading is accompanied with a dictionary and ship blueprints

Every year seems to get worse out there, but on smaller scale I’m trying to crush it at new job and I have much more drawing fire than in months

Last year was frankly awful, sickness and grief all year long.
So, I’m not superstitious, but in situation like this when my new year’s tarot read was very optimistic, I’ll take it.

This year I also did plenty of lifedrawing, mostly from Zeet studio's cosplay sessions. It really helped me to get back on track both with drawing in sketchbook and with character drawing, and I enjoyed the challenge a lot.

I've been watching Escaflowne for the past week and it's extremely my type of show, it's beautiful and has all the enjoyable anime fantasy nonsense. I like the idea that it was probably pitched as "this has everything to be a mainstream hit" but then it wasn't, instead becoming cool in different way

I’m currently reading Moby Dick for the first time and it’s been excellent. But I will say I just got to the part where he has a lot of hot opinions about whale science and it’s hilarious
