The article is full of gruesome takes. But then you remind yourself it is Trevor Phillips, so it's rather par for the course!
I read “It is hard to imagine that taking place in Britain” initially as “thank goodness”. Then I realised that Phillips *wants* this for Britain! He wants a Britain where visible minorities live in fear of abduction and deportation? WTAF?
Just a jaw-dropping paragraph in Trevor Phillips's column for The Times.
This is a policy that, by his own account, has left parents of a particular race too frightened to walk their children to school.
And that's the example he chooses of the "vigour" we "need".

Do we still remember Starmer's "pledge" to "clean up politics and return it to the service of working people"? The operative word here being "to pledge", which in Starmer's dictionary means: to pay disingenuous lip-service in order to secure any political advantage. Easier to just say lie, right?

<div class="field field-field-text"><p>The Hind Rijab Foundation has taken 24 Israeli soldiers and commanders to the International Criminal Court over the killing of Hind Rijab, a six-year-old Palestinian child. </p>
<p>The foundation identified the<meta charset="UTF-8"> Vampire Empire Company of the<strong> </strong>52nd Armoured Battalion operating under Israel’s 401st Armoured Brigade as responsible for the killing of Hind, six members of her family and two Palestinian medics. </p>
<p>The Foundation said three key senior Israeli commanders were responsible: Colonel Beni Aharon, commander of the 401st Armoured Brigade; Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Ella, commander of the 52nd Armoured Battalion; and Major Sean Glass, commander of the Vampire Empire Company. </p>
<p>The foundation said an additional 22 identified tank crew members of the same company "directly participated in or facilitated the attack".</p>
<p><meta charset="UTF-8"></p>
<p>"The attacks were carried out with full knowledge of the victims’ civilian and protected status, following prior coordination between the Palestinian Red Crescent and Israeli authorities," the foundation said in a statement. </p>
<p>"The Foundation’s legal team concludes that these acts amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, under Articles 6, 7, and 8 of the Rome Statute," the statement added. </p>
