Any socialist project should view and conduct itself as a necessary step on the way to communism.

If you’re not interested in noon being when the sun is (technically only at the equator) directly overhead, then why not shift the whole day over so that sunrise is at 1PM and you can party in the sun all night? AM/PM isn’t accurate anyway.
