www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/art... @halsparks.com As you know, Hal, the Globe and Mail is a mainstream paper. This is as serious as a heart attack. I suppose a Canadian government in exile would be constituted in London under the King in the same way as in World War II
Military models Canadian response to hypothetical American invasion
Armed Forces envision insurgency tactics like those used by Afghan mujahedeen, sources say. But officials and experts stress a U.S. operation is unlikely, and the scenarios are conceptual

We are far past the stage of permissiveness with white-supremacist violence inside DHS. We are witnessing ICE transition into a death squad.

This cannot be reformed. The only question is who will fight to abolish it, and who will accommodate it instead.
Either ICE Is Abolished or It Will Kill Many More Renee Goods
Minnesota is just the beginning of ICE's transformation into a right-wing death squad. But it can be the end

Credible reports given multiple videos that ICE (or CBP?) in Minneapolis is going door to door, breaching doors when residents will not open, and searching homes with no warrant or even statement of a particularized suspicion, and trying to prevent residents from recording. Flagrantly illegal
A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming

www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/d97d84a... Quite a shift. The US was the great threat to Canada from the American revolution up through Confederation in 1867 and beyond. And now again with Trump @halsparks.com
We need to prepare for the possibility that the U.S. uses military coercion against Canada
After the capture of Venezuela’s president and Trump’s musing about Greenland, Canada must consider the worst-case scenario

open.substack.com/pub/deanblun... @halsparks.com This is a bit inflammatory, but accurate. Canada has to be wary of a rogue, unstable US. That is largely Trump, but not exclusively so. It will be a delicate balance going forward between the desire for good relations and the need to defend ourselves

Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

@halsparks.com Sharing things across the two platforms is increasingly difficult, so that is why I don’t. Bob Rae referenced the situation as being like that of the power blocks in Orwell’s 1984. That, he feels, is more like the world going forward than the one we have known
