The Supreme Court can get things wrong, and does. However this shouldn’t change how we each think about right and wrong. You can still look your fellow Americans in the eye and ask, do you think America should be a place where citizens are stopped and asked to prove their citizenship?

People are frustrated and angry, but the crowd wasn't angry. Standing among tens of thousands of people at #HandsOff in DC, there was tremendous goodwill. Also felt completely safe. Don't let anyone tell you these protest movements are lawless or violent.

Thousands of people joined the #standupforscience2025 at the Lincoln Memorial in DC to hear scientists, cancer survivors, former agency heads, and union leaders. The mood was joyful and resolved. The science community knows the facts are on their side. They’ve faced skeptics and deniers before.

I thought it was a fundamental rule of childhood that the elves who hand out snow days are stingy, above all. Measly one hour delays should be frequent and heartbreaking. Unsatisfying two hour delays are meant to be doled out like helpings of thin gruel. My children today are rich beyond measure.
