Into the ether: has any national coverage of what people should or shouldn’t learn from the Mamdani campaign seriously talked about the ground game? People who’ve never Done Politics knocked on doors that have never been knocked on. Pretty important!

Obviously she won't win, but you can safely predict that Stefanik's antisemitic conspiracy theories about "Soros" and "globalists" and aides/staffers of hers being in the youth GOP "I love Hitler"/"Throw them in the gas chambers" chat will get nowhere near the scrutiny Mamdani did.

A lot of people responding with mockery/disdain…have we learned nothing about these mofos influence? And the consequences of shunning them? Get AOC or Jasmine Crockett or a pod save guy or fucking someone on Theo Von’s show immediately! I don’t care! It’s an opening!
“I voted for none of this."

Prominent influencers, including Theo Von, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Schulz, are starting to distance themselves from the president they helped propel to the White House.

For every horrific act of fascist abuse you’ve seen video of in recent months, there are hundreds that you’ll never even hear about.
A WILD ONE: A man broke his leg during an arrest by ICE at a car wash south of L.A.

ICE has held him under 24/7 guard at a hospital, registering him under a pseudonym, for *37 days* without telling him why.

A judge has ordered his immediate release.

Massive escalation at the ICE facility. Federal agents made multiple arrests (at least 4), threw out gas, and shot tons of pepper balls.

Heard one of the people arrested screaming minutes later. Not possible to get a visual.

Very regular in-class reading quizzes, incorporating personal experience and motivations into assignments (very easy to detect AI), writing assignments specifically about putting sources in conversation with each other (as of now, AI does not seem to be able to do this)
I cannot tell you how grim the AI in higher ed situation is. Many of the students have completely surrendered to letting AI do their homework, badly, I might add. How do you fix this? Truly, what the hell do we do, beyond what grading can address, which isn't a solution?

In which we learn that liberal democracy is but a gentlemen’s agreement
So painful to read Federalist 76, which is about the president's appointment power, in 2025.

Hamilton's like, no president would be so degenerate as to appoint only those "personally allied to him," esp since Senate confirmation would 'silently operate' as an "excellent check" on such attempts
