Sian Berry “As a woman, this isn’t a victory for me, and it doesn’t create clarity. The government have left things very unclear and a lot of the things they will be effect have nothing to do with biological sex” (slightly paraphrased)

Presumably largely cis audience: *loud applause*
On trans rights and the Supreme Court on BBC Any Questions… My feminism includes trans women and I am so disapponted at the court and worried what’s next. There is work to do and (like the audience) give my solidarity to trans people, and commit to working with you to fix this.

I do encourage trans and non-binary people to watch this, whether or not you like the Greens, and whether or not you like, or have heard of, Carla Denver

Why? Because she asks cis (“non-trans”) people to make some noise if they are there to support our rights, and that is followed by a BIG cheer
“Trans people are less than 1% of the population. Trans people are not the reason you can't afford eggs, or pay your rent. I think you might be focused on the wrong 1%.” - Bristol Central MP @carladenyer.bsky.social quotes Laverne Cox at trans rights demo in Bristol today.

Notice the audience applauding in support of trans rights & self ID, trans rights are human rights.

A legal case against the British government over arms exports to Israel will be heard in the High Court today.

The fact our Government are still selling weapons to Israel is shameful.

The evidence is overwhelming. End ALL arms sales now.
