The sun is shining and it’s 60 degrees in February. I walked our property this morning and spent a few minutes with my favorite tree. It is amazing what fresh air and sunshine can do for your mental health. #gardening

I have finished 11 books in January, so far. I think I will finish two more this week. Disassociation is good for my reading goals. #booksky

I’ve yet to find any other song that hits like Defying Gravity when Cynthia Erivo belts out,
“So if you care to find me
Look to the western sky,”
Instant chills every time.

The Island of Sea Women was the most surprising read in a long time. I went in with low expectations, but this was a solid 4⭐️ read. The audio was well-done, and the culture and history were fascinating. #booksky

The strategy appears to be roll out as much horror at once. I saw a video a few months ago that talked about finding your thing, and it was such good advice. Is it women’s rights or immigration or LGBTQ+ equality? Lean in on your “thing” and trust others to lean in on others. No one can do it all.

The move abolishes decades of government practices on diversity and equal opportunity.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

Remember:

It can be sad. It can be tragic. It can be disgusting and depressing and discouraging.

But it doesn’t have to mean this is who we are now. It’s what our country is doing right now and that’s not the same as who we are.

Who we are isn’t up to him.

Saw a TT video today that encouraged ppl to JOURNAL and keep a DIARY. They may be able to change the narratives on apps and websites, but we can write down our history as it happens and preserve it in that truthful way.

Well, America, we had a good run. I mean, mostly. Okay, not entirely. *flips through a history book* You know what, forget I said anything.

Books and college football are the only things saving my mental health today. I accidentally dipped over to Meta and felt immediate despair. #booksky has been the exact thing to fill the TikTok void.
