I finished Blood on Her Tongue on my metro ride this morning. This was a captivating gothic novel with an interesting take on vampires & what it means to be sisters. It also does a fantastic job at touching on mental illness & how it was viewed in 1887 while still being tactful #booksky
Let’s try something a little more Gothic next. Blood on Her Tongue by @johannavanveen.bsky.social has been on my TBR for a long time.

Okay I devoured Hemlock and Silver in one setting. T Kingfisher has such an incredible way of doing dark fairy tales that are just creepy enough without towing into “edge lord” territory. Plus a FMC over the age of 30 that isn’t written like she’s ancient. #booksky
First book of the year is going to be Hemlock and Silver by @tkingfisher.com. I’ve loved every book she’s written that I’ve read so far. #booksky

I haven’t read anything or been on this app in 3 months. I’ve just kind of been in survival mode and escapism into books just wasn’t in the cards. I’m hoping since I’m taking a couple weeks off of work, I can get back to my old self and be inspired to read again #booksky
