The entire image is made in a an off white, off black, and red palette. In the middle where the both paths individually lead to is an oxcart. Both path squares show hualian's history leading up to their final meeting in a timeline. For example, Hua Cheng's path has multiple skulls pointing out his deaths or attempts at his life, Xie Lian's path has tiles have events like his battle for ascension. Some tiles are the same and mirror each other like the hand off of the red umbrella. Some paths are the same event from different perspectives, like Hua Cheng's explosive fire tile is in the same position as Xie Lian's tile covered in blood. A chess board viewed from a diagonal angle. A knight piece is on one knee, covered in blood. The tiles around him have splatter as well. The shot is framed in an arch, on both sides of it there is a small interface showing how many pieces each has taken down. Through trees is a fallen head of a giant flower crowned prince statue.
