Near Morro Bay I saw all these spiders that made little suspended homes next to their catchin’ web. They’re Labyrinth Spiders, apparently, some species of Metepeira. Never seen anything like it before. So cool (and hard to photograph with an iPhone).

This guy was trapped in the water can for possibly 3 days. I put a couple worms in the can then set it on its side. Came home for lunch and he was still in there, had to grab him. He was a bit wigged out and didn’t bolt so I was able to drop a worm near him which he finally ate.
