On this day in 1981, 16 people, including the entire crew of the Penlee lifeboat Solomon Browne, were drowned during the rescue of the merchant ship Union Star in a storm. Never forgotten.

On this day in 1981, 16 people, including the entire crew of the Penlee lifeboat Solomon Browne, were drowned during the rescue of the merchant ship Union Star in a storm. Never forgotten.
