It's exam/grading time and just in case anyone didn't know, the AI problem has reached crisis levels. Teaching and learning will not survive if solutions are not found—and no, that cannot include "working with AI." It is poison.

Sitting in my office end of semester & a student I took to Italy 22 years ago came by w husband & kids. We looked at old photos & I showed her kids their mom when she was 21. She told me about the impact of that summer all those yrs ago & after they left I cried. It's what makes this worth it.

The AfD qualified for three mayoral run-offs in cities in North Rhine-Westphalia today, and lost all by big margins. The lesson is not that we have overdone the AfD's rise, but that we do perhaps sometimes underestimate the counter-mobilisation effects - including in east Germany, incidentally.
