One of the reasons I can say, hand on heart, that our church would have said 'yes' is that we often do this. I do checks, but someone asking for formula and being willing to fetch it from you is not someone who is scamming you (unless it's a social experiment!). The journey wouldn't be worth it.
There's this woman doing an absolutely wild social experiment on TikTok. She calls random US churches with the sound of a baby crying in the background, explain the baby hasn't eaten in over 12 hours, and asks for 1 bottle of baby formula. She has a public spreadsheet of how each one responded. 1/3

Very happy about ecumenical joys, but is anyone else giggling in juvenile fashion at ‘sprouts of peace’? #cofe

It’s time for the annual wailing and gnashing of teeth. We are not singing it! I gave in last year but not this time. We do not plough the fields and scatter. We live in #Lewisham #cofe

Today’s act of political violence in Utah against Charlie Kirk is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

We don’t have to agree on everything, but we should all agree on this: political violence is wrong, and has no place in our democracy

Why is the app lectionary not showing 2026 yet? Am I missing something? We have subscribed and the print version is available. I remember this problem from last year, August being the time for planning. #cofe @chpublishing.bsky.social

How can a ticket from London to York cost £100 return and there not even be a seat left to reserve?

Pope Francis embodied servant leadership and compassion for others. He lent his voice to standing up for those left behind – he will be remembered as a champion for a more just world and his unwavering love for the most vulnerable. I join millions worldwide in mourning his loss.

Been one of those days.
Domestic crises so missed Chrism mass.
Went to set up Maundy Meal and found a Pilates class in the church hall. Moved it to the Vicarage and everyone saw my washing and domestic chaos.
Sacristan on holiday so church setup haphazard.
Still blessed, still holy. #cofepeeps

She’s awful. I can’t bear her. I just wish we could object to what she says and does without sinking to cheap misogyny. The comments on this thread are grim.
BREAKING NEWS: In a shocking moment, Karoline Leavitt MOCKS the El Salvadoran immigrant mistakenly deported. “Based on the sensationalism of many of the people in this room, you would think we deported a candidate for Father of the year.” She’s despicable.

Me: I'm going to save money. I'm going to cancel Apple TV until the next Last of Us season.
One day later: Wow, my favourite books of 2024 are being serialised on Apple TV!

One of the privileges of being a school governor is seeing how the world of education is changing. I spent a while watching primary school kids using AI yesterday and it was fascinating.
